[MHTF] Future of the Mental Health Task Force

Hello to Everyone,

 

Members of the Mental Health Task Force met on Friday, March 7 to hear
an interesting presentation regarding admits to psych hospitals.  Thanks
to Loraine Sukop and Jenny-Jo Holroyd who shared some useful
information.  We also heard from Lois Jones from CSI about how past and
recent cuts in funding and "rate adjustments" are having an impact on
mental health services in our area.

 

Those present also discussed the low attendance at the recent meetings
and we decided to query the group about continued interest in the task
force.  Would you please take a moment to get back to Kathleen Hebden
and myself regarding your involvement in the task force?  Your answers
will help us to plan for the future of this group. Thanks for your time.

 

1.	Are you interested in continuing your participation on the
Mental Health Task Force?
2.	If no, is there someone else at your workplace that would attend
in your place?
3.	If no, could you share a bit about why you are no longer
interested?
4.	If yes, what would be most helpful to discuss at Mental Health
Task Force meetings?
5.	What about the MHTF is of most value to you?
6.	What about the MHTF is the least value?
7.	Does the first Friday of the month, Noon-1:30 work for you for a
regular meeting time?

Our next meeting will be on April 4th.  Our topic is High Fidelity,
Wrap-Around Services for children.  Kathleen and Claire Harrison are the
members who are putting together this meeting topic.
